and President
Randy Coil founded Coil Construction, Inc., in 1975, shortly after his graduation from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Although Coil Construction began as a small remodeling and renovation company, Randy recognized the potential for his small company to move into the commercial construction arena. Randy’s involvement in every aspect of the company, from working in the field to handling accounting duties, helped him develop a keen sense of what it takes to deliver service to the client. Armed with an appreciation for craftsmanship, accountability and a personal commitment to integrity, the company began two decades of steady growth.
By the late 1980s, Randy was preparing for a shift in the construction industry. He realized that owners were now turning to contractors in the initial phases of design/build projects. It was a team approach that produced accurate scheduling and early completion dates for the client, an enhanced quality of subcontractors, and a process that often identified economical construction alternatives.
In the early 1990s, Randy began hiring project managers and engineers who could take projects from beginning to end. These were experienced professionals able to understand each client’s particular industry needs and deliver a project to meet or exceed their expectations. In addition, Randy provides in-house ironworkers, carpenters, concrete finishers and laborers on Coil Construction jobs.
